Born an artist, raised as an engineer, refined as a dentist. Dr. Lam Tu is the newest addition to the Brooklyn Boulevard Dental family. He holds both a bachelors in engineering and doctor of dentistry degree from the University of Minnesota. Finishing in 2011, Dr. Tu added a bonus year to study dentistry on the toughest patients in the state at a General Practice Residency program at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Tu went on to spend years studying implantology under the guidance of the recently passed and highly revered instructor Dr. Misch who wrote the most used dental reference book on dental implants.
His practice philosophy and specialty has been to use calming vocal tonalities, meditative breathing techniques and efficient appointment times to create the most pleasant experience a patient could possibly have in his dental chair. With his ability to balance complex technical procedures, with an easygoing and empathetic nature it puts his dentistry on a different level that can connect with patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Tu spends time reading self improvement, working on fitness, and traveling to remote destinations in search of unseen landscape photography experiences. Ask about the time he slept for several nights in the largest cave in the world to find out how adventurous he is.
